R you're DXM to DXO ratio, the more psychedelic you're trip will be. DXM is far more psychedlic, DXO is more dissociative, that's all you need to know. The user can, in small ways control whether DXM is metabolized as such or if it is converted to DXO. Taking several smaller doses spread out over an hour or more will result in more of it being metabolized as DXM, thus, visuals increase and a more psychedelic acid-like experience is acheive, though it is still very different from an LSD trip. To metabolize the DXM as DXO, and to acheive a largely dissociative effect, the DXM should be consumed in one, quick dose. DXM doses are very predictable. There are four different "plateau's" of effects. Within each plateau, dose determines how intense the effects of that given plateau will be. The first is a very mild, buzz feeling, in which the user might become slightly dizzy and feel mild euphoria with a light stimulant effect. This is a good social dose. The second, is more intense and visuals can just barely been seen. The drunk feeling is more pronounced but you're mind still thinks clearly. Lower 2nd plateau doses are good recreationally. You might start walking funny and feel rather numb at this point. Higher 2nd plateau doses should not be taken around anyone you don't want to see you obviously high. 3rd plateau should only be reached with a trip sitter. It is impossible to hide this trip from those around you, so don't try it. This is where strong dissociation occurs. The user often cannon move, and rarely, cannot even communicate. If you do move, you often don't realize it.
